David G. Evans

CWVFF Speaker2018

David Evans is an eye doctor who developed a vision for filmmaking after watching Fireproof on opening weekend. After producing and directing a large-scale passion play at his home church for 15 years, he realized that God had bigger plans for his ministry efforts. Evans wrote the original story for The Grace Card in 2009 and directed the film which opened in theaters in 2011.

His newest film, Indivisible, is based on the extraordinary true story of an Army chaplain and his wife — and stars Sarah Drew, Justin Breuning, Jason George and Tia Mowry. It opens in theaters this fall.

He and his wife, Esther, have three sons and live in Germantown, Tennessee, where they serve as active members of Calvary Church (Cordova).
