The Belle Ringer has journeyed to Bellefontaine, Ohio, at Christmastime to bring peace, as mentioned in Matthew 5:9 "Blessed are the peacemakers for they will be called children of God." As children are bullied and ignored; as they watch their friends and parents fight, it seems as if there is no hope, and that turmoil is a reflection of the violence in the world around them. But the ringing of the bell calls them to come together and embrace the hope and goodwill that's such a part of Christmas.
