Finished music will need to be submitted as a single high-resolution audio file (WAV or AIFF, 24-bit, 48 kHz).
Each score must be original and cannot contain any copyrighted material. In other words, it needs to be your own work specifically composed for the purpose of this competition and cannot contain copyrighted samples or content from other original works.
By participating in this competition you must also agree to not post the short film anywhere on the Web. The short film you will be working with is copyrighted and being made available to you by permission for the express purpose of this competition. The film is about 8 minutes long and you will be given some minimal spotting notes from the director. Those who do not follow these instructions will be disqualified from the competition.
Deciding to participate in the competition, you agree to issue a perpetual license (master license) for the score to be used in the film, and for promotional purposes in connection with the film or the competition. Apart from the above, you will retain full copyright of the music both as writer and publisher.
The winning music score will be featured at the 2020 Christian Worldview Film Festival being held at the Church of the City in Franklin, TN from March 18-20, 2020. The composer of the winning score will be recognized at the Festival’s awards ceremony on the evening of Friday, March 20, 2020.
Your final music score must be submitted via dropbox link by January 4, 2020.
