Summoning Our Emotions: The Composer’s Tool Bag
In this workshop, we will be looking at specific techniques composers use for creating emotion in a film score. Though many view musical expression as a mystical, undefinable art, much of what we perceive through music can be attributed to particular compositional techniques. We’ll be examining how melody, harmony, rhythm, and texture can be manipulated to create a desired response from an audience.
